This page provides important disclosures and clarifications regarding the nonprofit mission of Swing for a Million and its relationship to golf events, prize contests, and supporting organizations.

About Swing for a Million

Swing for a Million is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access and opportunity in youth and teen golf through charitable support, partnerships, and program development.

Swing for a Million does not organize, operate, administer, insure, or award prizes in connection with golf tournaments or prize contests.

Relationship to Golf Events

Golf events and prize contests commonly associated with the Swing for a Million brand are organized, operated, and administered exclusively by American Golf Classic, an independent entity.

For clarity:

  • Swing for a Million is not the event organizer
  • Swing for a Million does not control event operations
  • Swing for a Million does not administer contests or determine winners

A portion of proceeds from American Golf Classic events may be allocated to support Swing for a Million’s nonprofit mission, subject to applicable laws and governing documents.

Prize Contests & Insurance

 All prize contests, including hole-in-one or shootout competitions:

  • Are operated by American Golf Classic
  • Are insured through third-party prize indemnity providers, including US Hole In One Association
  • Are subject to strict verification, compliance, and insurer approval

Swing for a Million:

  • Does not fund prizes
  • Does not insure prizes
  • Does not pay prize winners

Prize awards are paid by the insurer, not by Swing for a Million.

Not a Raffle, Lottery, or Game of Chance

Prize contests associated with supporting events are:

  • Skill-based golf challenges
  • Not raffles, lotteries, or games of chance
  • Not charitable gaming activities

Participation in a prize contest does not constitute a charitable donation.

Donations & Tax Disclosures

  • Charitable donations to Swing for a Million support youth and teen golf initiatives
  • Participation in golf events or prize contests is not a donation
  • Prize winnings are not donations and are not tax-deductible
  • Donors should consult their tax advisor regarding deductibility of charitable contributions

Use of Funds

Funds directed to Swing for a Million may be used to support:

  • Youth and teen golf access
  • Equipment and instructional resources
  • Coaching and development programs
  • Tournament and pathway opportunities
  • Mentorship and life-skills development

All funds are administered in accordance with nonprofit governance standards and applicable law.

No Guarantee of Outcomes

Swing for a Million makes no representation or guarantee regarding:

  • The outcome of any golf event
  • The awarding of any prize
  • The amount or timing of funds received from supporting events

Prize contests are subject to official rules, verification, and insurer approval.

Limitation of Role

Swing for a Million does not:

  • Set contest rules
  • Verify golf shots
  • Determine eligibility
  • Resolve prize disputes
  • Modify event procedures

All such matters are handled exclusively by American Golf Classic and the prize insurer.

State-Specific Restrictions

 Certain activities may be restricted or prohibited in some jurisdictions.

Void where prohibited by law.
State-specific disclosures are provided by the event operator where required.

By engaging with Swing for a Million, visitors acknowledge that:

  • Swing for a Million is a nonprofit organization
  • Golf events and prize contests are independently operated
  • Charitable support is separate from contest participation
